MTNL Mumbai Now Offers BlackBerry Services

In March this year, BlackBerry went 3G via BSNL and soon followed by MTNL-Delhi. Now subscribers in Mumbai too will be able to avail BlackBerry services via MTNL - but without the 3G bit for the moment.

MTNL and Research In Motion (RIM) have today introduced the BlackBerry solution for MTNL customers in Mumbai. Under this collaboration, MTNL will offer the BlackBerry Enterprise Server and BlackBerry Internet Service, as well as a bunch of smartphones including the BlackBerry Bold, BlackBerry Curve 8310 and BlackBerry 8700g.

The BlackBerry handsets are priced as the following: BlackBerry Bold 9000 at Rs. 34,000; BlackBerry Curve at Rs. 24,000; Blackberry 8700G at Rs. 14,000
