Mozilla urges users to hep make a Guinness book world record!

Mozilla is readying itself to enter the Guinness book of world records for the maximum software downloads in a day! A new page on the Mozilla Web site says that Firefox 3 will launch very soon, and that they’re even urging users to download the software to set the record for the software most downloaded within 24 hours of its launch.At present, developers are asking users to pledge that they will download the software as soon as it is released. You too can make your pledge (that is if you want to) by clicking here. Mozilla claims that as of now, the total number of pledges exceeds 253,928 while the total number of pledges from India is a little over 3,000.

Firefox 3 is claimed to have more than 14,000 changes vis-a-vis Firefox 2. The new browser is claimed to be the fastest Firefox ever. According to Mozilla, the browser has been downloaded from its Web site for more than 563 million times since it’s introduction.
