fringsters beware of laptop thieves in South Africa

A video I recently watched on Zoopy.com drove home the important point that South Africa is a land of opportunity. If the opportunity is there thieves will cash in. When traveling to South Africa, keep your valuables close at all times or be prepared to “loose” them ;-)

The moral of the story, when in South Africa, don’t leave valuable things unattended for even a few seconds.

  1. Having been a victim of crime coutless times it truly is hert breaking. However crime is everywhere, and not being justifiable it is still dicouraging to be publishing it to the outside world. What is the goal reaaly? Is it really to caution or plain discourage visitors?

  2. The aim is warn visitors to our fine land so that they have a great crime free visit. Naturally it is justifiable, I mean since when is it wrong to issue a warning? The SA government also issue’s warnings.

Discouraging visitors would be stupid, but keeping quiet when there is a problem would be wrong.

Only those benefiting from crime would want to keep this kind of info secret.
