Ridiculous
At the least you could have left Skype on in general for those not using video calling. Aside from that you should have had another video solution in place as though this video release was very new it was the foundation for quite a few new projects which just got ripped away. Anyone able to create good app to do video calls over 3G Skpye, let me know. I might be willing to pay if it included great features like background compatibility.
@Fring I just purchased new Skype service today as I finally found a decent Skype solution for iPhone. Willing to issue a refund here???

I wonder who was the idiot behind this decision?
I just got a new phone SPECIFICALLY to use skype as I have business contacts overseas and many people communicate with me over skype.. as it is the only way they can afford to reach me. Now, I am stuck waiting for skype to develop an app that will support EVO.. This is a huge slap in the face to many fans of fring, and a very unreasonable, uneducated and unprofessional gesture. Fring is being removes from my phone as well as many of my associates' devices. you lost a lot of loyal customers.

Well there goes my support for fring, video calls on my HTC Evo was the main reason I downloaded fring. Thanks apple and fring.

Im using an old smart phone nokia e61, I used to use skype to talk to my girlfriend in japan almost everyday.
Yesterday skype suddenly disappeared...that's really bad..skype is my major reason to install fring... anyway..i know u guys love fring...but for me...i got no choice. i need to net calling with my girlfriend. End up, i disabled fring on my phone as fring disabled skype as well. And now, i moved to Nimbuzz  ( green to orange yea)...im neither a hater nor lover on fring and nimbuzz, but im just a user. Nimbuzz works on me. However, fring WAS good. hopefully see skype on fring someday.........someday........but not today..  ---->

Extremely Stupid from Fring
This is extremely stupid from Fring to stop the support of Skype without any intimation to its users.
I thought there was something wrong with my mobile  because I could not imagine this type of stupid behavior from Fring. I kept on trying the whole day. There is no use of Fring without the skype support. Now I have switched to Nimbuzz, but I am hoping that Fring start the skpe support soon or they will loose all their users.
