The Samsung Galaxy Tab has launched in India for Rs. 38,000. The Samsung Galaxy Tab operates on the Google Android 2.2, Froyo. It has a 7-inch WSVGA display which is basically an enlarged Galaxy S smartphone but minus the telephony function.

In a thought to increase sales of Galaxy Tab, Samsung has partnered with 5 telecom operators in India. So, just like the data packages that were bundled with the Apple iPhone now, similar attractive data plans will be offered to buyers. Along with these data plans, buyers will get an accessories package worth Rs. 5,500 free. The package would include Stereo Bluetooth Headset and even a Leather Diary Case.
