This week started out with a lot of excitement after I got a call from a PR agency requesting my residential address so they could ship me a ” Dell teaser campaign”, this sounded pretty interesting and so I agreed and gave them my address. A few seconds later in fact even before hanging up the phone and I have Googled the word “Dell Teaser Campaign” and within split seconds I was looking at the most sexy laptop ever to grace my screen. At 16.5mm this is the thinnest laptop on earth and from what I read online, Apple boys can stand aside, this baby is a dream machine. You won’t believe how many thoughts rushed through my mind in about 10sec. ‘Wow is this really true? Am I going to be the first South African blogger to unbox the newly launched Adamo by Dell?’

Take note though that at no point did the PR firm ever mention the word Adamo or Laptop, infact they did mention something about servers but I mean what else do you ship via courier to your door?

Anyway so like a naughty little kiddie I lie awake at night dreaming of how I am going to unbox the most sexy piece of equipment around. ‘A video by the pool, no, no how about unboxing it on the beach in Natures Valley.’

So finally the big day arrives and I get a call from the courier, my heart starts beating faster as I give him the last few directions to my home. I quickly rush outside and stand impatiently waiting at the gate, my heart beating ever faster.

On the horizon a van appears, wow he is driving really fast and making some dust, ‘it’s good to see Dell uses only the fastest couriers around’ I think to myself, ‘glad he is not delaying with my package.’

I greet the courier, rapidly sign for my package, which now looks a whole lot broader than 16.5mm. I slowly take the package, give it a good shake and hear some stuff rattling inside. If this is my Adamo, then the courier destroyed it, eish.

To cut along story short I rush inside to unbox the mystery package.

Anyway the Dell goodies I did receive are super cool, and I would like to thank Hema and her team for including me in this teaser campaign - and boy oh boy, did it do the job, you sure got my heart racing..
