There is a New Blackberry Bold in Town!

Apparently there has been a soft launch by Blackberry of a new handset in the Bold series. It is the Bold 9780! The Bold 9780 is the latest in Bold series and is a well deserved update to the Bold series. The new Bold runs the latest Blackberry OS 6.0 which has been doing the rounds on the web long before the Blackberry Touch released. This will brings a new improved UI and faster browsing experience to the Bold.

Apart from the Blackberry OS 6.0 the Bold 9780 sports new and improved hardware over the Bold 9700. One of the best hardware tweaks received would be the amount of RAM which is now doubled to 512MB. The camera in the Bold 9780 is a 5MP autofocus as compared to a 3MP camera on the 9700. Looks and materials used in the construction remains the same, which means they’ll be hard to distinguish between by mere looks. The Bold 9780 is available of the shelf at Rs. 26,900.

LG Optimus One launched!

These days we are seeing lots of Android phones enter the market. The LG Optimus One has finally launched in India. It is priced at Rs.13,500 unlike the under 10k price that many were expecting. The Optimus One is an Android 2.2 based handset, it has an 8.1cm display, a 3MP camera and an expandable memory slot with support for memory upto 32GB.
The phone was lauched by LG Electronics India Managing Director Moon B. Shin. At the launch he disclosed that over the next six months LG would be releasing 10 more devices in the Optimus Series. The price of these devices would range from Rs.8,000 - Rs. 30,000. Inorder to keep up with the rising demand for mobile devices Shin said that LG will increase its capacity from 60-lakh units a year to 1.50 crore units by end of 2011.
