During the last few days we’ve showed you different ways to find and add new buddies to your fring list. Today we’re going to show you how to add new friends if you’re using a UIQ device.

You can search for a buddy who has already registered with fring and add her or him to your buddy list.

To search for a fring buddy in the fring network:

1. From the Main menu choose Add new buddy.

2. Scroll to the buddy you want to add and select it.

The buddy’s phone number appears on the search screen and the options to Add or Cancel appear. If the user is already a fring user, the buddy is added to your buddy list. If the user has not yet registered with fring, an SMS will be sent to him, asking him/her to join fring.

To manually enter a phone number to add as a new buddy:

1. From the Main menu choose Add new buddy.

2. Click Back.

3. Manually enter the phone number (including the int. prefix) and click Add or Search.

If the user is already a fring user, the buddy will be added to your buddy list. If the user has not yet registered with fring, an SMS will be sent to him, asking him/her to join fring.

That’s it – it’s simple and it’s fun to add more friends.
