Using the add-on builder

1. Make sure you have registered to the developers site

2. Register new add-on ,if you haven’t done this yet, using the Emulator’s IMEI.

Fill all the obligatory fields, for example:

• Call back URL - you can enter any web address at this stage.

• IMEI – this is the most important field.

3. Now you are ready to go to the add-on builder page.

4. There are several obligatory fields to fill:

4.1. User code - in order to fill that field go to your emulator, to the add-ons tab, choose the “add-on builder “ and joystick in. The user code will be presented on screen and you can fill it in the add-on builder page on the website.

• If the “add-on builder” on your emulator does not respond, most chances are that your emulator is no longer connected to the internet. Please go to the ActiveSync and reconnect.

4.2. Control - press the “add” button. New screen opens up. On the “control type” field choose your control type from the drop down list. It is recommended to choose “text“ at first.

4.3. Text parameter – fill this field with your desired text. This text will be presented on the phone screen latter on.

4.4. Basic layout - place the text on screen. It is recommended to fill 50% for each of the 4 fields: X, Y, W and H.

5. Press OK.

6. Now you see the FAXL code that the system generated. This code is sent to the client and will present your text there. When you develop you add-on, this is some of the syntax you’ll need to use beside the web development language you choose.

7. Press “send message feed to client” button.

8. The text will be presented on the same screen that showed the user code before ( it might take few seconds, you don’t need to press on anything).

9. Now you can play around with the add-on builder, use different kind of controls, change the text etc.
