Apple has released a firmware 3.0.1 for iPhone to patch the critical SMS vulnerability reported last week. Security researchers demonstrated on how a malicious SMS could “hack” the iPhone. The new iPhone Firmware update is expected to patch the severe security flaw in iPhones. The new firmware will surely work in favour of iPhone owners but those with the jailbroken iPhone will have to wait before they can get the patch. Till then they will just have to hope that their precious iPhones be safe. iPhone Dev Team team of iPhone platform hackers, have put up a post explaining that the iPhone firmware 3.0.1 update is still jailbreakable. Seems like there won’t be much waiting afterall.
