BSNL - MTNL may halt 3G services
It’s possible that the idea of 3G-equipped towns and cities will be short-lived.
The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has asked the two state-owned telecom service providers, MTNL and BSNL, to pause 3G services until there’s a strong infrastructure built to be able to handle devices that support 3G services. According to a report in The Times of India, executives of the telcommunication services say that even as they work towards improving 3G security issues, they will continue to offer 3G services.
