1. It allows to make call via GSM but requires login. Why do I have to wait if I just want to make a GSM call?
2. Personally I prefer to manage my contacts in GMail. Many my contacts have pictures, skype ids and so on. I wouldn't like to keep one another contact list up to date.
3. I'd like to have one item of contact list per person (not a heap of accounts as I see now). I would like to find a person I'm goning to contact to and then select a communication mean.
3. Widget to magane the online state (snd may be the status string).
4. Ability to replace the standard Phone application (is not acual right now since the app is not usable enough).

Default Feature requests

Too many posts here to sort through and see if I'm double posting but at least you'll be able to see which feature is most popular.
  • Status icon (optional)
  • Hands-free option
  • Call forwarding
  • Conference
  • - Would be really cool if one could pull a Skype user into an existing SIP call (I realise I might be pushing the envelope here...)
  • Custom ring tones
  • - Per plugin
  • - Per user/group
  • Further, ideally full Integration into android:
  • - Ability to make Skype or SIP call from Android contact list
  • Add setting(s) to force Fring to only use or not use WiFi/3G/EGDE/etc
  • Ability to have more than one MSN (etc) account configured
  • Ability to turn off (disable) an account (currently one can only remove an account. I'd like to use MSN via Fring when away from my PC, not when I'm at my PC. Adding an easy toggle would be a real bonus)

Have always used fring on my Nokia N95 that i still have.
Fring is the best from all programs in my eyes.
It should be perfect to have it the same as on the symbian versions specialy the gsm contact list not together with the rest.

Here is my wish list:
  • dialer with country selector or integrate with phone's dialer and contacts
  • add ringtone selection or integrate with phone's ringtones
  • vibration on/off
  • speakerphone
  • use 3G or WiFi only option
  • auto reconnect when switching between 3G and WiFi and vice versa
  • call history and missing call notification
  • fring icon in notification area, use different icons for status and notifications

Thanks for making fring available on android.

fixes needed:

high priority fixes:
1. reconnection issues (when changing from wifi -> 3G -> wifi etc)
2. Skype calls have audio coming out of rear speaker on HTC Magic!!! FIX please!
3. Add a dialpad. This is essential.

Other "nice to have" fixes but not so high priority:
4. Add option to change ringtones/vib etc.
5. remove "<m>" on mobile contacts.
6. Integrate better with phone's contact list, make use of photos etc.
7. Speakerphone.
8. Integrate SIP provider SMS capabilities.
9. Notification of "log-in status" in home screen notification bar.

Thanks!

The most important thing for me woul be merging contacts that belong to one person. I have my brother 3 times in the list . If possible somehow integrate into the stock android contact list.

1. To not have to wait 45 minutes to log in.
2. To not have to reconnect randomly for no reason.
3. To be able to log in with my wife's phone over WiFi in stead of having to switch back to 3G, just like I am able to with my own phone sitting in the same chair.
