NEW iPhone fring: User Request Version
You’ve told us that fring is addictive coz you can do lots of stuff on fring like Group Video chat from the beach, or call free from a WiFi enabled plane, or chat with friends for free.
You’ve also told us (not so) subtly that there are some hiccups and bugs along the way. Thanks for your feedback - This version is for you!
The new fring for iOS has a page of improvements including:
- Removal of ads for fringOut users
- Notification improvements to get chats, calls and video chats
- Improved connectivity to keep you connected better.
- iPad specific bug fixes so you can get full quality fring on your iPad
- fringOut quality improvements – improved sound quality, and better GUI (including a new Libya flag)
- Performance improvements for chat – typing & delivery
- And many more…

I like your Fring and used a lot, but sometime the sound was not so clear and disconnected often, what’s that problem.
Today my question is: After I loged off yesterday from Fring. I could’t make any call anymore and keep asking me to pay more credit or money. I already paid 45 Chinese dollar two weeks ago. Please help me that or email me the instructions. Thank you!

I have few troubles making group video calls. I use iPad 2, ios 5.0.1. When calling 2 other people (they use iPad 2, ios 5.0.1), one joins in, other doesn’t. So I drag the contact into video screen, but it says the contact is already on a call. Am I doing anything wrong here? Or is this a bug?

The self care site is only available to fringOut users.
You have to subscribe to fringOut through your handset to use that site.

Hi,
On your main Android menu press on ‘Settings’ -> ‘Applications’ -> ‘Manage Applications’ -> select ‘fring’ from the list -> ‘Clear Data’.
This will erase your chat history and conversation history.

It shouldn’t erase your friends etc, just your chat history. At the moment we don’t have that option, though we hope to soon.

from last two days i am facing a problem..the messages are repeating again and again 2-3 times in half hours. this problem started onces i followed this procedure ‘Settings’ -> ‘Applications’ -> ‘Manage Applications’ -> select ‘fring’ from the list -> ‘Clear Data’.
if someone text me his message repeated two times in half hour.

You should include the ability to have multiple ids for each communication technology. Often i hold a personal and a work account for gtalk or msn.

Our current versions of iPhone and Android utilize DVQ, a more advanced video compression method which is not yet supported on our Symbian version. We are constantly working on improving our versions and might support DVQ on Symbian in the future.

Please note that your device using DVQ which isn’t currently supported on our Symbian version. This is why you may be encountering issues.

hi, i ‘ve been using fring for almost a week now on my nokia phone.. And today fring closed while making a video call, and i can’t open the app.. Tried reinstalling fring, and restarting my phone, still fring won’t open..
I’ve check it’s files, only .mif is showing, other apps has .rsc but fring don’t have.. Is it the reason why fring won’t open?

Nice sweet app, like it’s stability, features and SIP integration.
However: Should the keyboard when chatting with Fring on iphone rotate? This is very important, otherwise too many misspellings.
DVQ for Nokia N6 would be great.
Also a PC version.

Unfortunately the only version available for iPhone is the latest one via iTunes, which does not support the iPhone 3G model.
