Hi,
We are working on a fix and plan on releasing it very soon. However, please note that you will need to upgrade your Samsung to the latest release available for it, before our fix is released, otherwise it won’t help the issues you are experiencing.

All this time the ad banner is still active. When will this be disabled. Otherwise, chat and call are still great with minor disconnect from time to time. Video call is best with wifi.

I love fring application a lot. I’m also using fring out and voice is very clear even on 2G. I request fring developers the following features on next version:
Smileys
Delete option in call history
Fring tine changer with more fring tones
More fring themes
Refined UI for chat
Thank you fring team for developing a wonderful application for bringing relations closer even when we are far.

Thanks for your feedback. What do you mean by No so good video chat ? Did you try to use a different connection type or access point ?

Please update Fring for Symbian Belle also. There is a very small where if Fring saves the user credentials/preferences, it cannot start anymore and crashes on startup. If the user chooses to log out and then exit, the app works fine. I think with a little bit of coding, this can be resolved.
Please please do it, I am not able to chat with my family since my brother has upgraded to a Nokia 701. He was so happy when i gifted it to him and now we both are pissed off!
I know you guys can help, please help!!
Thanks a lot in advance!

Frings ignore Samsung S SL i9003 again with new release of Fring, and still not work in my Galaxy SL i9003. The same problem with front camera, flickering, always the same problem. In froyo and Ginger the same problem with front camera.
I sent to fring support videos showing the issue, e-mails, fring support ask me for my device log during fring issue and I will it also sent to Him. I watch the market every day waiting for the new release, and with the new release (3.8.0.22), fring has the same issue, front camera doesn’t work, I can’t even make video calls. All this seems like a joke, I’m very disappointed, I’ve been waiting many months.
Thanks

I have the same problem (and with exactly the same phone as David). The video flickers rapidly at approximately 10-20 times per second. However it’s not just Fring - it also flickers in Skype, but their problem is far worse: the video is also rotated through 90 degrees, and is overlaid with a green colour cast! ….so it’s not all bad for Fring!

Hi,
I have a i9003 (you know, green flickering in Froyo and black screen in Gingerbread), but I want to thank Fring support for contacting me, you have been working to fix these issues in i9003.
After your work, in Gingerbread (2.3.6 XXKPM, lastest european offcial fw from samsung), only zoom issue with your modded version.
But I know it’s very difficult to fix these issues for this this device, always something goes wrong. When you put 320×240, zoom issue ok, but appears green flickering, and when you put 640×480, ok zoom issue but appears green flickering issue …
It will only encourage you to keep trying and get a functional fring on the i9003, I don’t want to lose hope, thank you.

I have an Android Tablet
version 2.2
kernal version 2.6.32.9-default
build number generic-eng2.2 Froyo Ver 1.5.5-20110920.083830
The Fring App was included with the tablet. I have registered but not yet subscribed to Fring.
1) The call call test does not work. The call responds but I do not hear my own voice and there is no option shown so I can make my mic compatible with Fring. (I know the mic works as I have a voice recorder app which plays back fine).
2) The video call test freezes then shuts down.
I have tried the above tests via wi-fi to my home modem router. UK based “Talk Talk” is my provider. I have also set up a Vodafone 3G dongle and tried using this, again this is a UK contract.
Both the above providers give me perfect internet connections.
I am really keen to subscribe to a phone dialing system I can use when in the UK, Europe, Canada or Turkey in order to dial friends on landlines or mobiles in various locations around the world.
My understanding of Fring and similar systems is that this should be possible provided an internet connection can be established.
Are there licencing issues which determine the equipment that can be used or are these programing issues?
Please can you advise me if I am wasting my time.
