Updated fring for Android & Playgrounds gets its own App
Thanks for your feedback to our latest iPhone & Android launch.
Based on your comments, it’s clear that some of you want the option to have either fring ‘classic’ or ‘Playgrounds’ as the default video chat experience. We’ve listened.
Now, Playgrounds gets its own app
&
fring stays focused on video chatting with your friends.
Choose your video chat style, fring or Playgrounds, or both:
Get fring ‘classic’
Get Playgrounds

It is currently available for Android devices and will be available on iPhones as well.

The updated fring didn’t fix the sideways video did it? I’m still chatting with my girlfriend at 90 degrees. It’s the same on her phone too.
I’m using the ASUS Transformer and she’s using an iPhone 4.

My son & I have droids. We have to turn our phones backwards so we can’t see each other, also we can’t hear each other. It defeats the purpose of having the app

Can you consider a desktop application as well (including Linux)? I’m stuck to your competitor because you don’t have one — one of my most important contacts (my mother!) doesn’t have a mobile, hence. I wouldn’t mind if you could do this with Adobe AIR, so it’ll be immediately X-platform for desktops.

Hello I have Fring version 5.3.2.36 and it has Playground but I did downloaded a while back on my old 3GS, now I have an iPhone 4 and I downloaded updated version of Fring and it doesn’t have Playground, it sucks cause Plaground in Fring app is awsum. U can meet new people there it’s great. Too bad it’s not on Fring anymore, I heard it’s a sperate app on Android is that true? Well it’s not on the AppStore yet or will it make it to the AppStore? And if so, when? I usually use my neighbors wifi it’s fast specially at night. Well that’s all I wanted to know if any1 know please feel free to post here thanx.
